Mexico - Iberostar Trip #6

Some photos of trip #6 to the Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan - this time with the kids again.  No time for a long recap...just comments.

Carter on the last night

Last nights kids show...Carter beat out 29 others to reach the finals (video to follow).

Connor on the last night

Carnival games at the nightly kids show

The "fishes" have now been to Florida once, and Mexico twice...not bad for $2.99.

Rare all family shot

More pool time

Beach time

Monkeys were frequently by our room...guests gave them bananas.

Fun at the kids show.

Priceless...the girl that beat Carter in the kids show.  She's all smiles, he's still ticked off.

Moritzio (the host/Star Friend) liked Carter...he would always ask him to show his smile on stage...and of course Carter would haul out the manufactured smile...which usually brought laughs from the crowd.

The tree where we got married 8.5 years ago...

Conor flying solo at the kids show...Carter did not want to do it this night.

The cool part is the mix of kids - Germany, England, Peru, Argentina, Russia....and of course I will always meet someone else from Naperville...this time Lake Zurich too.

Connor's go-to silly pose is of course the Gangnam Style dance...which gets beat into your head down there between the shows and activities.

By weeks end, the fishie would no longer be required, as Carter started to get braver and master swimming for a bit on his own.

Peacock in the lobby bar...quite frequent this time.

Silly pose...of course, Gangnam Style.

The favorite restaurant - the Japanese Hibachi

Uno provided relief from the sun...which was pretty intense the first 3 days.

I played plenty of wacky volleyball, beach volleyball, water polo and water basketball....in fact, every family member got on stage for winning a tournament at least once (bingo for the kids).

Connor, completing is class project of sending a postcard...we will see if it makes it back to Naper Elementary (and when).

Carter is not shy with any type of food...had no problem downing "mexican" chicken wings.

A frequent sight at dinner time.

The swim shirt was a requirement for Carter pretty much from day 3 on...too much sun.

Sans the fishie - into the deep end.

Carter - becoming braver.

A double crash at the beach front steakhouse...makes for a peaceful dinner.
